Privacy Policy: Your Photos and Your Data

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Scribe Saas, LLC ("we", "us" or "our"), the company that operates MakeMidas, collects, uses, stores and protects your information when you use makemidas.com (the "Service"), which makes images and videos with AI models from your prompts and pictures, including pet portraits.

For the personal data described here, Scribe Saas, LLC is the controller: we decide why and how it is processed. You can reach us about any privacy matter at support@makemidas.com or through our contact page.

Information We Collect

Prompts and settings: what you type in the generator, the model and settings you choose, and, when AI enhance is on, the fuller prompt it writes.
Pictures you upload: reference pictures and video frames, for example of a person, a product, a pet or a family photo. Pictures of people may show their faces.
What you make: the images and videos generated for you, including pet portraits and watermarked results.
Credits and purchases: your plan, credit balance and how credits were used, what you bought, the amount, payment status, and the email address you give at checkout.
Account information: your name and email address, or the profile Google shares when you sign in with Google. An account is needed to generate.
How you found us: the website that sent you (without its query string), the first page you opened, campaign tags in that page's link (such as utm_source), and your country. We record this when you place an order or create an account.
Device and log data: technical details such as IP address, browser type and operating system, processed by our hosting provider to deliver and protect the Service.
Analytics: how pages are used, described in Analytics below.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to generate the images and videos you ask for, keep your history so you can download them, manage your credits, plan and payments, keep your account working, answer support requests, limit free credits to prevent abuse, keep the Service secure, and understand which pages and sources bring people to the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your prompts, pictures or results to train AI models.

Pictures and Results: Retention and Deletion

Uploaded pictures are deleted automatically within 48 hours. They are kept only while you generate.
Images and videos you make, with their prompts and settings, are kept in your history so you can download them, until you ask us to delete them or your account.
Pet portrait orders bought before plans and credits: the order link works for 30 days after payment; orders saved to an account stay available until you ask us to delete your account.
Pictures and results are stored privately. They are never shown on the Service or to other visitors.

Who Processes Your Data

How Images and Videos Are Made (AI Processing)

To generate, your prompt, your pictures and the settings you chose are sent through OpenRouter to the provider of the model you picked: Google (Nano Banana, Veo), OpenAI (GPT Image), ByteDance through BytePlus (Seedream, Seedance), xAI (Grok Imagine), MiniMax (Hailuo), Kuaishou (Kling) or Alibaba (Wan). When AI enhance is on, your prompt is also sent to Anthropic's Claude model through OpenRouter to write the fuller prompt. These providers process the data to return the result, under their own terms; see OpenRouter's privacy policy and the policies of the providers.

Service Providers

We use these providers to run the Service. Each receives only what it needs:

Payment Data

Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card details directly with Stripe, and they are never stored on our servers. We receive only what we need to fulfill your order, such as the amount, status and the email address you gave at checkout.

Analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies. Visitors in the EU, the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see a cookie banner, and these tools load only after you accept. Elsewhere they load by default. Anyone can turn them off at any time with Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not set cookies or store anything in your browser. It records aggregated statistics such as pages viewed, the referring site, country and device type.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU and UK) or the CCPA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to opt out of analytics. To use these rights, email support@makemidas.com. This includes deleting your account and everything saved to it.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest by our hosting provider, private storage for pictures and results, long random order links that are stored only as hashes, and protections against automated abuse on sign-in. See Security for details.
